Senior Database Administrator (DBA) – Cassandra

Requirements:

Design, deploy, and manage highly available and scalable Cassandra clusters.
Develop and implement strategies for data backup, replication, and disaster recovery.
Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
Optimize database configurations and queries to ensure optimal performance.
Work closely with development teams to design data models and schemas.
Implement security best practices to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
Conduct regular database health checks and performance tuning activities.
Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using scripting or automation tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in database management and distributed systems

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Job Description:

Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in Cassandra (Primary skill) , Redis and Kafka(secondary skill).
Strong proficiency in database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
In-depth knowledge of Cassandra architecture, data modeling, and query language (CQL).
Experience with Redis data structures, replication, and clustering.
Proficiency in managing Kafka clusters, topics, partitions, and consumers.
Familiarity with database monitoring and management tools such as DataStax OpsCenter, Redis Enterprise Manager, and Confluent Control Center.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
