NetSuite Functional Consultant

Requirements

Must Have Skills:  

Core NetSuite Functional Skills  

  • NetSuite Modules/Functional Knowledge - Strong understanding of core NetSuite functionality and business processes, including   
  • Experience and knowledge of Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.  
  • Inventory and Order Management, Supply Chain Management – Understanding of inventory management, purchasing, and order fulfilment processes. Experience in Supply Chain modules (Procurement, Warehouse management etc), Warranty and Repairs management  
  • CRM and Sales Processes – Knowledge of CRM functionality for managing sales orders, Customer records, Case management for warranty, repairs and returns.   
  • Financial management and accounting, Multi-currency, Multi subsidiary management, Multi country tax compliance, Billing. Knowledge of Financial Processes - accounting principles, financial reporting, AR, AP, GL, and budgeting processes.  
  • Configuration and Setup - Proficient in configuring NetSuite modules, including custom fields, forms, records, roles, permissions, and workflows.  
  • Saved Searches and Reporting - Advanced knowledge in creating complex saved searches, reports, and dashboards tailored to business needs.  
  • User Interface Customization - Skills in customizing dashboards and user interfaces to improve usability and align with team requirements.  
  • Suite Analytics - Expertise in leveraging Suite Analytics for advanced reporting and data visualization, including creating workbook reports and pivot tables.  

  Data Management and Migration  

  • Data Import/Export - Proficient in data migration tools, handling CSV imports/exports, and data cleansing.  
  • Data Analysis and Quality - Ability to analyse data for accuracy and completeness, ensuring data integrity across NetSuite modules.  

  System Integrations: Experience and knowledge in integrating NetSuite with third-party applications, legacy systems, or external data sources.  

Functional Customization Tools  

  • Suite Flow - Experience with Suite Flow to create and manage workflows for automating business processes.  
  • Suite Builder - Familiarity with Suite Builder for basic customizations, such as creating custom fields, forms, and records.  

System Optimization and Best Practices  

  • NetSuite Best Practices - Ability to recommend and implement NetSuite best practices for optimizing processes and workflows.  
  • Process Improvement - Skills in analysing current workflows and making recommendations to improve efficiency and productivity.  
  • Change Management - Experience managing change within an organization, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new processes.  

  General functional skills and support   

  • Ability to document configurations, business processes, workflows, and functional requirements clearly and concisely.  
  • Compliance and Audits – Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring NetSuite configurations align with standards.  
  • Strong analytical and skills for troubleshooting functional issues within NetSuite.   
  • Ability to identify and analyze gaps between current processes and NetSuite capabilities, proposing effective solutions.  
  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis, Effective communication skills to liaise between technical teams, business stakeholders, and end-users.  
  • Strong business communication and customer management abilities. Effective communication skills to liaise between technical teams, business stakeholders, and end-users.  
  • User Training and Support - Experience in training end-users, creating user guides, and providing ongoing system support.  
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate overlap with IST/US working hours.

Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced NetSuite Functional Consultant. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on experience and understanding of NetSuite functionality and a proven track record of implementing and optimizing NetSuite ERP systems for businesses. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to analyze business requirements, configure NetSuite to meet those needs, and provide ongoing support and optimization.  
  • As a NetSuite Functional Consultant, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, configure, and implement best practices within the NetSuite environment. The consultant will also provide training and documentation to end-users and assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues.
