Required Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in security vulnerability remediation and secure application development.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications.
  • Proven experience upgrading Java frameworks and vulnerable dependencies.
  • Experience troubleshooting production and non-production environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Spring Security.
  • Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT.
  • Understanding of threat modeling and application security concepts.
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
  • Security certification such as CSSLP, Secure Coding Certification, or equivalent is a plus.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Job Description:

  • Use AI first model for delivery.
  • Analyze and remediate security vulnerabilities identified through Snyk and other security scanning tools.
  • Perform impact assessment, root cause analysis, and remediation planning for application vulnerabilities.
  • Upgrade vulnerable libraries, frameworks, and third-party dependencies with minimal business impact.
  • Develop, test, and validate code fixes for Critical and High security findings.
  • Collaborate with application SMEs, architects, and product teams to understand business and technical impacts.
  • Create pull requests and support application teams during code review and validation.
  • Participate in vulnerability triage, prioritization, and sprint planning activities.
  • Conduct secure code reviews and recommend best practices.
  • Support application modernization initiatives to address legacy technology risks.
  • Document remediation approaches, testing results, and technical decisions.
  • Work with QA teams to validate fixes and ensure successful deployment.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives that improve remediation throughput and efficiency.
  • Support compliance with enterprise vulnerability remediation SLAs.
